In a stressed-out world, can we learn to trust and go with life’s flow?
Facilitated by author Nick Thorpe
Saturday 21st March 2015, 10am to 4.30pm
The Bield at Blackruthven, Perth, PH1 1PY
Price: £40 including lunch
Would you like to join me in the beautiful Perthshire countryside for my day workshop in the art of letting go?
Based at one of my favourite places, the secluded retreat centre at The Bield at Blackruthven just outside Perth, this is a gentle, playful, honest and reflective day – with the opportunity to share our struggles, questions, and ideas about living in a kinder and more nourishing way.
I’ll start off sharing a little about my own ongoing journey from burnout to self-acceptance, then we’ll be using group and individual reflective exercises from different spiritual and psychological traditions, including guided meditations, Socratic inquiry and self-help techniques.
We’ll share one of the Bield’s wholesome and delicious lunches and have some time for journalling and solo reflection exercises in the beautiful grounds, as well as our inner explorations together.
Those of you who have read my book Urban Worrier will recognise some of the discoveries I made in my year of letting go, but I’ll also be bringing in some ideas and tools I’ve picked up since. All sharing is absolutely voluntary and confidential, and previous participants have been very positive in their feedback:
“I really appreciated Nick’s honesty and relaxed style – I felt very safe, which helped me move to a deeper understanding of myself. I have learned that no part of me is my enemy – so I can stop going to war with myself!” – SL
“Nick’s facilitation was excellent – a lovely pace, through-provoking, honest, and rooted in his own story. Using some of Nick’s tools, I now feel I can bring letting go into my daily practice. Thankyou!” – SR
I’d love the opportunity to meet you and share ideas on making “this one wild and precious life” a little easier and more fulfilling.
I hope to see you there!
